A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager, Marine to join our mtu Indonesia team. This pivotal role will lead marine sales initiatives by growing and diversifying the customer base, driving revenue growth, fostering strong customer relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. The Sales Manager will also play an active role in shaping and executing sales strategies to ensure sustainable and profitable business growth while consistently exceeding customer expectations.
Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defense vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities
- Initiate, steer, and manage sales activities for Rolls-Royce Solutions products and solutions to cover the Indonesian marine market in line with regional sales strategy, including customers, operators, system integrators, OEMs, partners, and technical consultants.
- Conduct frequent sales calls and customer visits to promote mtu products and solutions, generate inquiries, and build excellent business relationships, in line with the Integrity Code of Conduct and Compliance guidelines.
- Assess customer requirements, provide tailored technical solutions and cost-benefit analyses versus competitors, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Utilize the solutions configurator and pricing system to create quotations, ensuring timely submission aligned with customer pricing structures, signing rights, and approval processes.
- Facilitate order placement and monitor delivery schedules to meet customer expectations; follow up on delayed payments with Finance.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company and corporate policies, ISO standards, Quality Management Systems, Compliance, HSE, and local laws.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Indonesia, APAC, and Germany to align on business priorities, processes, customer support, and strategy.
- Continuously developing and execute sales strategies that align with company objectives, focusing on profitable revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Undertake special assignments as required.
- Achieve and monitor assigned KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with company and corporate policies, ISO standards, Quality Management Systems, Compliance, HSE, and local laws.
- Provide accurate reporting in accordance with company requirements.
Qualifications
- At least 7–8 years of B2B technical sales experience in industrial goods, preferably within the marine sector, including at least 2 years in a managerial sales role.
- Strong track record in achieving sales targets, developing strategies, and executing business plans.
- Excellent customer focus with strong skills in presentation, communication, and negotiation.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills with external customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical, results-oriented, independent, and collaborative team contributor.
- High integrity and work ethics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related discipline).
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office and SAP.
